An accepted quote almost always starts with a quote that was followed up. Several weeks often pass between presenting the treatment plan and the patient's decision. Without structured follow-up, some of those "pending" quotes slip through the cracks — and with them, revenue that was already within reach.
Why structured follow-up changes everything
Memory and sticky notes aren't enough once a practice handles a few dozen quotes a month. Clear follow-up lets you know, at any moment, which quotes are pending, which were accepted, which were declined — and for how long. That visibility turns follow-ups you endure into follow-ups you choose.
Three statuses, one simple logic
Sort each quote into Pending, Accepted or Declined. The "Pending" status matters most: it's your reservoir of opportunities. By keeping it in sight, you spot at a glance the quotes to follow up on.
Follow up at the right time, without pestering
A useful follow-up is a timely one: neither too early nor too late. A friendly reminder one to two weeks after the presentation, then a second one before the quote expires, is enough in most cases. The goal isn't to "sell" but to clear up a doubt, answer a question, remind the patient of the benefit of the treatment.
How Dentuose helps
Dentuose centralises your quotes with their status and date, and highlights those still pending. You can see each patient's history and measure the effect of your follow-ups on your acceptance rate — all locally, on your computer.
